Casa do Vinho

Casa do Vinho is a contemporary one-bedroom house on the north coast of Terceira.

Located on the outskirts of Biscoitos, this rural idyll sits peacefully amongst the green fields of maize, beets and sweet potatoes which are typical of the Azorean countryside.

Inside, Casa do Vinho has a modern, contemporary feel with it’s open plan living room/diner/kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a coffee machine and a washing machine. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural sunlight during the daytime, and the warm grains of the Japanese cedar ceilings are cosy by night – a feel which continues through to the spacious double bedroom and bathroom.

During your stay, the famous Piscinas Naturais seawater swimming pools are just a few minutes’ drive away in the centre of Biscoitos, the Reserva Florestal da Serreta forest park is ten-minutes west, and Terceira’s historic capital Angra is just a twenty-minute drive through the centre of the island.

It’s important to say that you’re not entirely alone: Casa do Vinho shares it’s walled garden with the neighbouring two bedroomed Casa da Cerveja – and by combining both houses, you can create the perfect Azorean getaway for a large extended family.
