Casa Deluxe 360 °

Casa Deluxe 360 ° is a new-build detached villa in the seafront village of Faja Grande.

The casa is designed with family and friends’ holidays very much in mind, although it’s contemporary architecture is quite a contrast to it’s surroundings. Famous for being Europe’s most-westerly island community, diminutive Faja Grande has long-held a draw for intrepid travellers looking to escape the fripperies of modern life. The quaint, traditional cottages at Aldeia da Cuada fulfil that need perfectly.

Casa Deluxe 360 ° has a very different remit. 21st century Azorean homes have a style all their own: sociable open-plan living spaces, honed concrete, minimal furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows to draw in the natural warmth and light. There’s a spacious, well-equipped kitchen – homing-cooking using seasonal, regional ingredients is another key Azorean trait – and there are three bedrooms in total: a larger suite with it’s own bathroom, with double rooms two and three sharing a bathroom.

Outside, there’s a sea view balcony which spans the 1st floor of the building, looking out across the Atlantic. To the rear, the BBQ and terrace will make it difficult to resist alfresco dinners in the evenings, with Faja Grande’s monolithic sea cliffs looking glorious in summer sunsets.
