Casa da Cerveja is a modern, two-bedroom house on Terceira’s rural north coast.
The casa has the wonderfully-sociable layout you’ll find with most Azorean new-builds with it’s large open-plan living space, and it’s vaulted white cedar ceilings and bottom-to-top windows draw the summer sunshine all through the building. The fully equipped kitchen/diner/living room has a microwave, an electric oven and hob, a coffee machine and a washing machine, but still manages to feel spacious and uncluttered. The clean, contemporary feel continues through to the two roomy double bedrooms and the shared bathroom.
Outside, Casa da Cerveja shares it’s walled garden with one bedroomed Casa do Vinho – the ideal addition if three bedrooms are a better fit for your family. Casa do Vinho aside, there’s no-one else around – this is Terceiran farming country where you’re surrounded by fields of green maize, sugar beets and sweet potatoes.
The north coast town of Biscoitos is just a few minutes’ drive away – famous for it’s Piscinas Naturais seawater swimming pools. The Reserva Florestal da Serreta foreest park is ten-minutes in the opposite direction, and twenty-minutes through the centre of the island brings to you into Terceira’s historic capital Angra.
