Overview

One of our favourite seaside hotels in the Azores is the Caloura Resort Hotel.

Sitting high on a clifftop overlooking the beach and bay at Baixa da Areia, the Caloura Resort Hotel and the village of Caloura itself have been amongst our most popular destinations for over twenty years. It’s central location on the south coast is ideal for exploring the island by car, with both the geothermal swimming pools in Furnas and the capital Ponta Delgada just a twenty-minute drive away. All eighty en-suite rooms have seaview balconies overlooking the large outdoor pool or the clifftop gardens, and there’s a well-equipped gym, tennis court, restaurant and terrace bar.
