Casa Pombal

Casa Pombal is a two-bedroom cottage on the secluded north coast of Sao Miguel.

Casa Pombal sits within the beautiful Menezes country estate which dates back to the 16^th century. This southern-side of the estate is home to four properties – Pombal, Casa Lareira, Casa Granel and the main Casa do Monte farmhouse – and all four properties reflect owner Maria Joao Menezes’ love of classic-Azorean period furnishings.

Pombal has one double bedroom on the ground floor and a sociable open-plan kitchen diner. A second twin bedroom is located on the mezzanine overlooking the kitchen diner, and the large patio doors lead to a small private terrace overlooking the shared gardens and outdoor pool.

Due to it’s peaceful rural location, we recommend including a hire car during your stay to allow you to explore the whole island. The great crater at Sete Cidades and the island’s capital Ponta Delgada are both a short drive away, as is the bustling north coast town of Ribeira Grande and the famous hot springs at Caldera Velha.
