Our Whale & Dolphin Watching Holiday on Faial is based in the cosmopolitan town of Horta in a comfortable hotel opposite our whale watching office. We include four half days whale watching and a half day jeep tour of Faial. Sights to see include Capelinhos, a village that was buried in the 1957/8 eruption that is now re-appearing out of the ash and Faial’s volcanic crater which offers great views of the surrounding area.
This allows you a further three full days to explore the beautiful islands of Faial during your whale & dolphin watching holiday or hop over to Pico to view the volcano up close and visit the whaling museum in Lajes.
Your boat – Rigid Hull Inflatable (RIB – 12 seater). On RIBs you usually sit astride a seat which runs down the middle of the boat (your bottom on the seat and feet on the deck).
Don’t forget, if you would like more (or less trips) to see the whales, and would like to stay on Pico as well as Faial, just let us know.
We can create a tailor-made holiday to suit your budget.
INCLUDED : Accommodation on B&B sharing basis, airport transfers, 4 x 3 hour whale and dolphin watching trips, half day jeep tour of Faial, flights and airport taxes (guide price only), pre-departure information booklet.
EXCLUDED : Meals (other than breakfast), excursions, travel insurance.
Your accommodation is at Hotel do Canal, a comfortable 4 star hotel, just next to Horta port and your whale watching boat.
