AZORES WINTER FLIGHT SUCCESS |
The introduction of a new direct flight throughout the winter to the Azores has helped encourage many more of you to try this unique, unspoilt destination at amazing value. Flights are from Manchester and Gatwick every Saturday until April when it is joined by a second flight operating on Tuesdays.

AZORES FLORES FEATURE |
At the westernmost point of Europe and the Azores archipelago lies Flores, reputedly the most beautiful island of all. With its jagged volcanic terrain, wonderful flora, crater lakes and a curtain of waterfalls plunging from the cliffs on the west coast down to the sea, its difficult to find enough superlatives to describe it. The beauty is one thing, but everyone who visits Flores is also overwhelmed by the sense of tranquillity you feel staying in one of the tiny whitewashed villages nestled on the coastal plains.

What to do:
Walk the west coast, fish in the rivers or out at sea, go diving from Santa Cruz, take an off road jeep tour with an expert Flores historian or sea kayak to the Islet of Monchique – the EU’s westernmost point.
When to go:
it’s best to visit Flores between April and October as often inter island flights to the island get cancelled in the winter
