Description
Located in the delightful village of Fajã self catering
Grande at Europe’s westernmost point,
Argonauta is surrounded by a paradise
of natural beauty and tranquillity. The
owner of this delightful house is a
resident Italian who has written many
books on the history of the islands
and walking in the Azores. The house
has a bohemian and homely feel with
original floral frescos from the 1930’s on
the walls and woodwork from a vessel
shipwrecked off Flores’ western reefs.
There is a guest lounge on the first floor
with TV, CD player, library and internet
access. Delicious evening meals on
request though please note they are
expensive relative to local restaurants.
The location is wonderful, just a short
walk from the port and swimming area
and there are some great rock pools
close by. Walking to the North and
South of Fajã Grande is spectacular.
