Set in beautiful grounds, the Hotel Fayal was originally the base of the
Western Union undersea cable communications company and was
converted in the 1970’s to provide guests with a good quality base during
their stay in Horta. Although it is elevated from the centre of town, it is
only a 5 minute walk to the marina and ferry port.
Rooms are in the main
hotel building and also in small villas dotted around the pretty lawn
grounds and some rooms have a sea view (though a supplement applies).
