About Us

In September 1998 Archipelago Azores began trading from a spare bedroom in Banbury.  The company grew out of a whale and dolphin research holiday company already operating in the Azores and we recognised a great opportunity to expand into offering land based holidays.  That first year, just 35 clients travelled to the Azores with us and now we have over a thousand clients a year, many returning for several visits.

In December 2001, we moved North to Keswick in the Lake District and now have an office in town with views not dissimilar to the Azores!  In September 2003, we were awarded our ATOL licence by the CAA and in January 2006, Archipelago Azores became a member of AITO receiving the highest award of 3 stars for responsible tourism.
