Flight prices vary considerably depending on month of travel and availability, but to give you an idea, below are approximate prices for international return flights.

Inter island flights cost around £55 per sector although the more inter island flights you book the cheaper the sectors are.

Via Lisbon
Flight connections from the UK are excellent. For example, in the summer you can depart Heathrow at 08:30 in the morning and be on São Miguel by 14:30 and from Gatwick you can catch the 06:30 flight and be on Faial by midday. There are daily scheduled flights via Lisbon to the Azores from Heathrow and Gatwick to the islands of São Miguel, Faial and Terceira. Flying time is around 2.5 hours for each leg.Direct flight
Alternatively, you can catch the weekly flight on a Saturday from Manchester and Gatwick to the main island of Sao Miguel. Outbound from the UK, the flight starts in Manchester, stops to pick up in Gatwick for 50 minutes and then continues to Ponta Delgada. Returning from Ponta Delgada, the flight goes direct to Manchester and then on to Gatwick. The direct flight time is 3hrs 30mins and 5hrs 10mins with a stop.
Please also note the direct flight only has 160 seats (per flight) which tend to fill up very quickly. These flights operate on Saturdays from 1st April to 28th October 2011. It is possible to combine the direct flight with one leg via Lisbon.
